Pemmican


Ingredients:pemmican2

  • 180 g Beef Tallow
  • 180g Beef jerky
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ Tsp of Allspice blend

Method:

  1. In a high powered blender like a Vitamix or TM grind up the jerky to a flour
  2. Melt the tallow
  3. Combine the tallow and jerky flour with the salt and allspice and mix well.
  4. Line a mold or tin with gladwrap or baking paper and pour the mix into mold.

    This works well as a lunch box item because you don’t have to refrigerate it. I would suggest that some kids would like a little dried fruit added to the mix for extra flavour.pemmican 1
